This section contains information on BPA's Internal Benchmarking, External Benchmarking and Health Workforce Database.
Internal Benchmarking
Internal Benchmarking compares each reporting unit and each demographic cohort against the organisation overall.
BPA:
Internal Benchmarking identifies the strengths and weaknesses of each reporting unit, and provides managers with information to create relevant unit-specific strategies.
- Calculates how each reporting unit and each demographic cohort rated on each question.
- Analyses these ratings to determine if there is a statistically significant difference to the organisational rating for each question.
External Benchmarking
External Benchmarking compares the organisation's ratings with a designated set of Benchmarking Partners, chosen as an appropriate match for the client organisation (eg. "organisations with more than 500 employees" or "organisations that are not-for-profit").
BPA's database includes over 120 detailed benchmarks related to BPA's key fields of research:
Employee Engagement - includes Attraction, Retention and Turnover Factors
Organisational Culture - includes Type of Culture, Values-in-Action and Employee Safety Culture
Leadership - Includes Management Skills and Leadership Style
BPA is able to Benchmark qualitative, as well as quantitative, results to identify the differences between what respondents at different organisations are actually saying. This is achieved using the Linguistic Analysis methodology.
BPA's External Benchmarking reveals the areas of an organisation that stand out ... and the ones which require greater attention.
BPA's Health Workforce Database
BPA's Health Workforce Database comprises detailed survey data on Employee Engagement, Organisational Culture and Leadership from over 250,000 healthcare respondents across Australia and New Zealand.
